Send your own records

I am a beneficiary of UNUM disability plans offered by APTA, my professional assoc. And yes, they are still giving me difficult times despite with my Post-polio syndrome diagnosis. I have been disabled for two years now. Yes, they have approved my claim but continually harassed me from time to time. I continually fight with my claim representative at times. Here is one dumb thing they did to me few months ago: they stuffed my benefit check with another beneficiary's check and send it to that person.

I have another disability insurance and yes, I qualified for Social security disability and they did not give me hard time, unlike UNUM!

I have one advice to give when you visit your specialist. GET YOUR OWN RECORDS AND BE RESPONSIBLE IN SENDING IT TO UNUM. Send it with confirmation or registry.
